Meet The Artist

Janae Brook is a young, aspiring artist born and raised in Ohio. She was born on August 17, 1999, on a Tuesday afternoon. At the young age of two years old, her parents were told by doctors of Janae’s severe myopia in her eyes leaving her with a vision of -22 in both eyes. Today her eyes see a -30 vision. She is legally blind without the aid of her contacts and eye-glasses. Despite this handicap, her skills as an artist have developed tremendously as she brings pictures alive with her brushstrokes.
Through-out her childhood, Janae always drew pictures and drawings for her Mother. From a young age, her creative eye presented itself in a unique way. Her Mother saved most of these drawings as they were a reminder of the tiny hands and inefficient eyes that carefully crafted each drawing.
As she matured into a teenager and young adult, her talents grew beyond mere drawings. She began experimenting with oils, acrylics, and watercolors. Her talent and ability to produce a masterpiece captured people’s attention. Her masterpieces now grace the walls of homes across Ohio and beyond. Her talents are a gift from God. Even though the world around her may appear blurry and out of focus, her masterpieces are without distortion and represents what her eyes lack; clarity. As she grows as an artist, she hopes that her work speaks to her viewers and connects with their souls.
